The Steelers’ offense has struggled all season proceeding without starting QB Kenny Pickett has only made it worse. Still, it’s obviously hard to trust Pittsburgh, especially their offense. But as we’ve witnessed for nearly two decades, this is where Tomlins’ teams do their best work.
At 7-7 and three spots outside the AFC playoff picture, Pittsburgh can only afford to lose one more game to keep that streak going, and their schedule is very difficult down the stretch– Cincinnati at home this week, at Seattle in Week 17, and at Baltimore in the season finale. He has 170 wins as the Steel City’s head-man, third among active coaches, and he’s never had a losing season. The 17-year Steelers’ HC is among one of the greats. No one wants to bet on the Steelers right now, but this would be the spot to do so. Call us crazy (we might be), but we agree with the line movement. Despite losing their last three games to the Cardinals, Patriots, and Colts – hardly a who’s who of the NFL’s elite – the spread is moving in their favor as we write this.
Urgency is now at an all-time high for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it appears the markets are responding.
